1) Do you take stag or hen parties? Sorry, but no we don't. We do accept family groups and groups
of couples who want to celebrate a special occasion here with us, but not single sex parties. 2) Do you accept
pets? Yes, we welcome all dogs and other pets as long
as they are kept under control at all times. There is no charge for pets. We ask that you bring them bedding and
do not allow them to clamber on the furniture. To respect other guests and comply with health and safety laws we don't
allow dogs or other pets in the dining room.(with the exception of service dogs) As our rooms are not very big it's
probably not wise to bring a St Bernard here for his hols, but we leave it to your discretion. We also request that no dogs or other pets are left unattended for long periods.
When you are in the public areas of the hotel with your pets i.e the bar or TV lounge please keep them on a lead or in a suitable
pet carrier Thank you.
3) Do you have smoking rooms? All
the bedrooms at The Chesterfield are smoking rooms. Smoking is of course against the law in all public areas i.e the
bar, front lounge and dining room. We have a small outdoor area at the back for guests to use when the bar is open (weather
permitting). 4) Is The Chesterfield suitable for disabled visitors? We welcome everyone but unfortunately if you require a wheelchair or have difficulty with stairs The Chesterfield
is not really suitable. We have no ground floor rooms nor lift, so there is at least one flight of stairs
to all bedrooms. In addition the bar is in the basement down another flight of stairs. (There is a toilet in the bar
so once down you won't need to go upstairs again till you go to bed!) Of course we will always help
with heavy luggage.
5) Do you have parking facilities? Yes we do have some free parking spaces available, however they are very limited.
Parking is available only five minutes walk away at the pay and display car parks on Lonsdale Road and Bloomfield Road. The
price is around £8 for 24 hours and is cheaper the longer you stay. If we do have a parking space available for
you, you will be required to leave a set of car keys with us while you are out in case we have to move your car (cars are
parked in line).
6) Do you have a late bar? During the main season our bar is open in the evenings from
8pm till around 11.30. Occasionally on special all inclusive weekends etc and during the early season from March to
June we will stay open until 1am if we have a busy bar. Our bar is not open during the day. 7) Can I get an evening meal? We can provide a three course evening meal every night except on your arrival day. If you particularly want
an evening meal on your arrival day please telephone to arrange this. The price is £14.95 per adult and £7.95
per child. There are choices for children and for vegetarians. If you have more specific dietary
requirements, for example if you are vegan, ceoliac or have food allergies please do let us know and we will try our
best to cater for your needs. 8) What is included in the "all inclusive" free bar? All
draught beers (Worthingtons Bitter and Carling Lager), all premium brand spirits i.e Smirnoff vodka, Bells Whisky, Gordons
Gin etc, Strongbow and Woodpecker Cider in cans or bottles, canned Dark Mild and Guinness, House Red and House White Wine,
Martini, Malibu and all soft drinks and mixers. Bottled beers i.e Budweiser, Magners and Bulmers Cider and Liqueurs
are NOT FREE but only £1 each from 8pm till midnight. PLEASE DO NOT STOCK PILE YOUR DRINKS! Children under 18 years get free soft drinks and crisps
